Art and design share a common language—one of curiosity, composition, and imagination—but they speak with different intentions. Art is instinctive, born from emotion and exploration. It is a dialogue between the artist and the unknown, an act of discovery rather than instruction. Design, on the other hand, shapes creativity with purpose, balancing beauty and function to create something people can live with, wear, or experience every day.

My creative path has been shaped by architecture, graphic design, and fine art. Each discipline contributes something unique: architecture brings structure and proportion, graphic design emphasizes clarity and communication, and painting provides the freedom to experiment. Together, they form the foundation of my work.

My paintings—primarily abstract acrylics on watercolor paper—explore rhythm, color, texture, and light through an intuitive process. Each begins without a predetermined destination, allowing composition and emotion to develop naturally. Rather than illustrating an idea, they invite discovery through movement, contrast, and harmony.

Surface pattern design extends that exploration in a new direction. Painterly gestures become repeating forms, abstract compositions evolve into textiles, wallpapers, and decorative surfaces, and expressive marks are transformed into balanced designs for interiors, fashion, stationery, and home décor. Every collection begins as an original creative work, resulting in designs that range from contemporary geometrics and abstract textures to florals, paisleys, damasks, and ornamental patterns.

Atelier85 Design is a showcase of that journey—from fine art to functional design—where artistic expression and practical application meet. Whether displayed on a gallery wall or printed on fabric, wallpaper, or home furnishings, the goal remains the same: to create work that is original, engaging, and enduring.
